Kathmandu to Dhap by Jeep
We have two ways of getting Dhap by road: Public bus ride and Private Jeep ride. The latter one is more convenient since we need to change two or three different public buses which is not good for a long drive. A jeep can be shared by 7-9 people and the total cost is divisible. We leave Kathmandu valley and enjoy driving along Sunkoshi River which is popular for river rafting in Nepal. Next, we get to Okhaldhunga and our further drive finally takes us to Dhap. It is a total of 6-8 hours drive from Kathmandu.

Pikey Peak Altitude
We begin our trek from the elevation of 1300m that is Kathmandu. We drive to Dhap and trek Jhapre. A One-day walk from Jhapre takes us to Pikey Peak Base Camp which is located at an elevation of 3640m. Further, we climb Pikey Peak in the morning. The apex of Pikey Peak is 4065m/13008 ft. high.
Pikey Peak Trek Food and Accommodation
Expect to have bread items, noodles, curries, dumpling, pizza, the popular Daal Bhat and hot drinks during your Pikey Peak Trek. One Item of Food in Pikey Peak Trekking trail costs between USD 2-6 depending on where you eat. In fact, the food items are much more cheaper than in Everest Base Camp Trekking Trail.
We are going to use very ordinary accommodation during our Pikey Peak Trek. Ordinary accommodation doesn’t mean that it not neat and clean. It is mountain accommodation at local guesthouses owned by local people and the rooms are very clean. The restrooms are shared which is unlike the suite accommodation. One night accommodation costs between USD 5-10.
