Among 33 peaks opened for climbing in Nepal, Mera Peak is the tallest one. Located in Khumbu region Nepal, the peak pierces sky at an altitude of 6476m.
The peak is not that technical to climb. It is one of the best destinations from where you get an awe-inspiring view of Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Kanchanjunga, Makalu, Baruntse, Amadablam and the tallest peak of the world—Mount Everest.
Mera Peak composes of three peaks—Mera North-6,476m, Mera Central-6,461 m and Mera South -6,065 m. Climbing Mera Peak means you will be climbing Mera central as it is easiest than other two. It was ascended in 1953 for the first time and since then it is gaining its popularity among climbers of the world.
