Ghandruk Trek is one of the best and most scenic trekking adventure in Annapurna region. This trek is an excellent introduction into trekking for beginners. Ghandruk family trek is designed to explore the cultural assets of Ghandruk village along with spectacular Himalayan ranges.

Ghandruk cultural trek begins after 2.5 hour drive from Pokhara to Kimche, the starting point of the trek. We cross the suspension bridge over Modi Khola (River), climb over the hills, villages, terrace farm, river valley and eventually reach the exotic Ghandruk village. Ghandruk Village offers an arresting view of unique and sacred Fishtail Peak, Annapurna South and other snowy peaks, indigenous and well preserved cultural and tradition of Gurung community, lush floral and faunal species of conservation area and deep insight of the mountain life. The village with traditional houses weaved by stone paved yet narrow streets and warm hospitality displayed by the locals provide you wonderful travel experience.

Ghandruk village trek is perfect for those who have limited vacation in Nepal but seek to experience mountain trekking in Nepal. It is an easy trekking experience involving trekking and excursion of historical and cultural heritage sites.  Ghandruk Trek is possible to conduct throughout the year however February to May and September to December are the best time of the year for this trek. Trekkers need to have moderate fitness level to go for this trek. Whether you travel solo or with your family, this trek is perfect with no altitude threat.

After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Kimche (1700m), the starting point of the trek. We then follow the forested route and scattered villages to reach Ghandruk. It takes an hour walk to reach Ghandruk. We leave our stuffs in the hotel where we stay overnight and go for exploration of Ghandruk village.

    Today, we wake up early in the morning to enjoy great view of Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Hiunchuli and Mt. Annapurna south. After breakfast, we trek back to Kimche and drive back to Pokhara via same route.
