You will observe many dzongs in this trip. Most of the dzongs were built in 17th century. The specialty of these dzongs is that not even a single piece of nail is used in its joints.

You get in Bhutan through Druk Air and land in Paro Airport. It is a scenic flight where you will enjoy high Himalayas from the comfort of the plane. One of our representatives will warmly welcome you in Paro Airport and drives you to Thimpu.

We will visit TamchhogLhakhang (temple) as it is located while on the way to Thimpu from Paro. This temple was built by Thang Thong Gyalpo. He is from Tibet. He had built many iron bridges in this country.

Similarly, we will take you to Kuenselcholing view point and from here you will breathtaking view of entire Thimpu valley. Here you will see largest statue of Buddha in Bhutan.

In evening you can stroll on the streets of Bhutan enjoying local people and culture.

Overnight in a hotel in Thimpu

    Thimpu is a capital of Bhutan. It is a colorful place that will attract you at very first sight. We will visit fortress monastery called Trashichhoedzong. It was built in medieval age. It is the place from where entire Himalayan Kingdom is administered. Almost all of the government offices are located here.

    Similarly, you will visit National Library, Traditional School of Arts and Crafts, Textile and Heritage Museum, Handicrafts Emporium, Memorial Chorten and Cheri Monastery.

      We drive to Gangtey via Dochula. It is a vantage point. On a clear day you get view of many peaks of Bhutan like GangkarPuensum (7,497m), Kangphugang (7,170 m), Masagang (7,158m), Jejegangphugang (7,158 m ), Terigang (7,060m ) and Zongphugang (7, 060 m ).

      There are many chortens, maniwalls, prayer flags and prayer wheels here. Furthermore, you will observe DrukWangyalChortens along with 108 stupas. Gangtey Monastery is located in the slope of Phobjikha valley. It was built in 17th century.

      Overnight in Gangtey

        Today we will visit ChimiLhakhang (Temple of Fertility). Lama DrukpaKuenley built this temple in 1499. He is also known as divine madman.

        Hiking for few hours from here will take us to Punakha.

        Overnight in Punakha

          It is a nice visit. Punakhadzong used to be religious administrative center of Bhutan in the past days. ShabdrungNgawangNamgyal built it in 1637. It is built in the confluence of two rivers—Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu. The former is known as female and the latter is male.

          Now we drive to Paro via Wangdue. While on the way we visit Rimpu Dzong.

          Overnight in Paro

            Paro is regarded as tourist capital of this Himalayan Kingdom. Here we will visit renowned Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest).

            The monastery is popular because Guru Rimpoche (Padmasambhava) meditated here in a cave and the monastery is built around the cave. According to legends, the monastery was built in 8th century.

            Kinchu Temple is another destination of our visit. Tibetan King Shrongchong Gampo built this temple in 7th century. It is one of the 108 temples that were built by the king in order to keep away ill spirits who were obstructing the course of spreading Buddhism.

            It is a busy day today and we will be visiting National Museum too. Strolling on the streets of Paro in the evening is awesome experience.

            Overnight in Paro

              We will leave Bhutan today. Our representative will drop you at the airport at the scheduled time.
