Restricted Region Trekking

The government of Nepal has listed few trekking destinations under Restricted or Controlled Area. To preserve the unique culture and natural beauty of the area government stepped up with this decision.

Upper Mustang, Manaslu Region, Kanchanjunga Trekking and Upper Dolpo among others are regarded as Restricted or Controlled Area Trekking. Most of these areas are still far away from modern developments. It is typically remote area trekking where you feel you are walking somewhere outside this planet.

Restricted or Remote area trekking does not mean that trekkers are not allowed to visit such area. Trekkers can visit there but they require special permit to get here issued by the government of Nepal.
