It is said that if the tourists are looking for one of the most remote areas trekking in Nepal, trek to Manasalu Region. This trekking also is known as an adventurous trekking since trekkers have to cross Larkya La Pass which is one of the highest passes in the world. People love adventure so they go with Manasalu Region Trekking.

Manaslu Region trekking is getting its popularity among the travelers since it is less explored and less crowded. Manaslu Trekking is, fundamentally, for adventure and wilderness lovers who are willing to have the bliss of tranquility into the lap of Himalayas. The dialect language and culture of the people of this region please the travelers abundantly during their visit.

In other words, Manaslu Short Trekking is a tailor-made itinerary with the small time frame. It is purely dedicated to busy people who want to spend few quality days in Manaslu Region which is one of the less exposed regions to the tourists.

High level of stamina is required to accomplish this Manasalu Short Trekking. A sound mental and physical condition will contribute us to triumph over this trekking. Trekkers require walking 6-8 hours each day in the high altitude.

The food and accommodation will be very normal. The restroom will be outside the living room. The foods will be offered according to the items mentioned in the menu. Normally, bread items and Nepali foods are common here.

We, trekkers have to obtain the restricted Manaslu permit to go to Manasalu region since it is restricted region trekking. The pastoral setting of this region will be superb to experience.

Sotilkhola is located on west-north from Kathmandu. You will be enjoying countryside Nepal in this ride of around seven hours.

Overnight in Sotilkhola

    This is the first day trekking of our Manaslu Circuit Trek. We start our walk after breakfast. Today, we follow the mountain road all way to Machhakhola. Budi Gandaki River is on the right. We arrive at Lapubesi. We continue our walk and take us to Nauli Khola. We cross suspension bridge and get to Khanibesi. Our further walk finally takes us at MachhaKhola. Overnight at MachhaKhola.

      We follow the downhill track along river bank and stone stairs. After a couple of hours of walk ascending, the trail begins and this will lead to Saguleri. Here you get a nice view of SringiHimal. The further walk will bring us to Deng. There are only four houses here.

      Overnight in Jagat

        Initially, we follow the flat path and after some time of walk uphill trail starts. Passing through forests we reach Deng. It is a nice place where you will get a wonderful view of Mount Manaslu. Deng is regarded as a Buddhist village where mani walls, prayer flags, and monasteries are abundant.

          First of all, we ascend to be at Bihi. Crossing Ghap we arrive at Namrung. It is a religious village where you breathe Buddhism in its air. The view of Mount Manaslu, Himachali and Ganesh Himal is fascinating from here.

            Viewing Siring and Ganesh Hima, we slowly leave Namrung village. We also celebrate the view of Mt. Himal Chuli in the south. Now, we encounter with a steep ascent and trek through forests. After some time, we get to Lihi village which is famous for chortens and terraced barley fields. We still have to pass through different settlements such as Sho, Lho and Shyala villages before reaching Sama Village. During our trek through different villages, we enjoy peak 29, Manasalu and some giant glaciers and the view ends with Ganesh Himal. Finally, we get to Samagaun.Overnight in Samagaun.

              This is a spare day for acclimatization and exploration. Today, we explore age-old tradition and culture. Further, we enjoy many, inscriptions, and so on. We go to visit a holy monastery named Pungyen Gompa which is located at the end of Sama village. This monastery also offers us magnificent views of snow-fed mountains and glaciers. After an hour exploration of this monastery and its premises, we again get back to Samagaon to spend the night. 

                From Samagaon, we descend to the Budhi Gandaki River and we begin to follow a stream on the side. The trail to the left leads us to Manaslu Base camp. And now the trail passes through beautiful mani walls and enter into the valley. We get an easier trail through juniper and birch forest. of Kermo Kharka. We cross Budi Gandaki river making a decent and passing the village named Kani, we arrive at Samdo. Overnight in Samdo.

                  Today, we have two options: hiking up to the top of the village and experience mountain views and Himalayan birds and vegetations and Gyala Pass and experience the Tibetan part. Both are magnificent. You can go with one and the rest of the time you can explore the village and landscapes. Overnight at Samdo.

                    Today we again encounter with Budi Gandaki river and its wooden bridges. We also see Larkyal Glacier and follow the trail of the valley Salka Khola. Then we arrive at a stome guest house. Actually, this is not a guest house. This is a Dharamshala. Dharamsala is just a shelter in case we don’t get any other accommodation during the trip. This place is also known as Larke Phedi. To present the reality, today’s night will not be so good for accommodation. However, we have to accept it. There is no option. Overnight at Dharmasala.

                      We first encounter with a short climb and we enter into a beautiful valley on the north side of the Larkya Glaciers. We can witness splendid views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. Now, the glaciers and moraines become steeper at the ending. And, this pass offers us magnificent views of  Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the huge Annapurna II. The more we travel, the more we get closer to Mt. Manaslu. Overnight at Bimthang.

                        Bimthang is a beautiful village and also a popular vantage point from where we can celebrate splendid views of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal. Our further descend today takes us to Dudh Khola. Now, we walk through rhododendron and oak forest. Then, we arrive at Karche, a cultivated valley. After we pass the ridge, we arrive at the village of Gho. Our further attempt finally takes us to Tilije. Overnight at Tilije.
