Legend has it that prince named Mahasttva offered himself to hungry Tigress with her several underfed cubs. This legendry story is depicted in a very nine stone slab and placed right next to a holy stupa. The surrounding area of the stupa is populated by ethnic Tamang tribe. Dulikhel Nagarkot hiking trail starts with an hour drive to Dhulikhel which exhibits the magnificent mountain panorama before we procced for 4 hours-long hiking trip to Namobuddha. The hiking trail is fairly comfortable and goes through well-leveled path. We cross several sparsely populated settlements, magical forest of pine and rhododendron and walk along the cultivated fields of rice, mustard and millets.
