Champadevi Hiking begins after we have our breakfast. We drive around 14 km west from Kathmandu to the place named Pharping. Pharping is beautiful village closer to Kathmandu valley. It is famous for different vegetations and fruits. From Pharping, we hike up through dense pine woods enjoying the fresh and cool air. At the same time, we smell different flowering and non-flowering plants. This pleasant hike continues for half an hour. Then the trail takes us toward the north ridge.
We continue hiking further for 3-4 hours all the way uphill following the trail towards Champadevi. We don’t get any teahouses and restaurants on the trail. For this, we have to prepare some light snacks and water ourselves.
Champadevi hiking hilltop offers us an unbelievable view of mountain panorama including Langtang region and Ganesh Himal range if weather favours us. Both our eyes and our cameras are stunned to witness such breathtaking views. We have lunch there and explore Champadevi for some time and hike down to the place named Hattiban. It takes around 2 hours to get down to Hattiban. Then, we drive back to Kathmandu either by private car or local bus.
