Bardia National Park is located in the mid-western part of Nepal. It is a largest national park of this Himalayan nation that stretches 968 square kilometers.

If you wish to witness Royal Bengal Tiger then this is the perfect place as the site inhabits more than 100 of such endangered species. Moreover, Nepal is one of those 10 nations where you can observe this beautiful and majestic wild cat. Besides Royal Bengal Tiger, the park is well regarded for One-horned rhino. It is reported that more than 200 such rhinos roam here freely. Like the tiger, it is also listed as threatened species of this green planet.

Furthermore, the jungle of this low-land area of Nepal inhabits more than 23 species of aquatic animals like Mugger crocodile and Gigantic dolphin. Here you can see more than 53 species of mammals. In addition, you can also observe more than 400 species of birds here.

    Your trip to Nepal formally starts from the second day. You will be visiting UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites—Bashantapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and Swoyambhunath.

    Kathmandu itself is a living museum and Bashantapur Durbar Square is jewel of the crown. The site covers more than five hectares area protecting historical and cultural heritage. The site truly portrays ancient face of Nepal and its wealthy culture and tradition. The palace called Hanuman Dhoka is the center of attraction. There are many chowks in the palace.

    There are many temples including KumariGhar (house where living goddess resides) in the campus premises of Bashantapur Durbar Square.

    Pashupatinath is popular site of Hindus where Lord Shiva is enshrined in the form of Linga known as ‘Shiva Linga’. The temple is built in pagoda style and is located in the bank of Bagmati River. It is reported that more than a million Hindus visit here at the time of Shiva Ratri—Lord Shiva’s birthday.

    Similarly, Bouddhanath is located on north of Pashupatinath. It is popular holy site of Buddhist. Bouddhanath is a stupa built structure which is largest stupa of South Asia. The stupa is covered by white wall where small statue of Amitabh Buddha is attached. The locality of Bouddhanath is also known as Little Tibet. The surrounding of the site resembles Tibetan culture and tradition.

    Furthermore, Swoyambhunath is another popular Buddhist site where more than hundred thousand spiritual based tourists visit every year. Swoyambhunath is a dome like white structure. Many monks like in Bouddhanath pray here counting beads and rotating prayer wheels.

    After visiting aforementioned sites we will drive you back to hotel.

    Overnight in a hotel

      Today we will drop you at the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport. From here you catch a flight to Nepalgunj. The city (Nepalgunj) is located in the mid-wester part of Nepal and it is regarded as Terai or plain low-land.

      Our representative in Nepalgunj will escort you to Bardia National Park. It is at a driving distance of one and half hour (90km).

      One of the staff in the park will brief you about the schedule that you will be following tomorrow. You can visit Tharu museum to utilize your spare time. Local culture—Tharu Culture—will fascinate you.

        It is a kind of blissful day today. You will enter deep inside the jungle. You can penetrate inside in a jeep or enjoy ride in elephant back. While on the ride you will get opportunity to witness Royal Bengal Tiger and One-horned Rhino including many other endangered species like swamp deer.

        You will also enjoy boating here in Karnali River. Here you will easily see Mugger crocodile and if lucky enough then you can witness Gangatic dolphin too.

        It is a fun packed day today. We will penetrate jungle in a jeep or ride on elephant back. You will see One-Horned Rhino, Royal Bengla Tiger and many more species of mammals.

        Overnight in a resort.

          The staff of a hotel will give you bell early in the morning so that you may wake up on time and enjoy the jungle safari in the morning. You will witness some unique birds here in the morning. After lunch the staff of the hotel will drive you to Nepalgunj where you will catch flight to Kathmandu. In capital (Kathmandu) you will get some time to roam around Thamel.
